All bundled up in the coat, hat, booties and blanket that Grandma Oele made (that Janet wore for her baptism 25 years ago). The dress was also Janet's.
This was the best we could do taking a picture of the two of them. (It was a good attempt, since Dawson was fussing with this hood and not concentrating on holding Jamie.)
Some of the people in downtown Northville go all out for Halloween, there were big productions and tons of decorations (these are two of the many houses that did something over the top..."Extreme Makeover: Monster Edition" and "The Jungle Book"). There were thousands of people walking around (luckily the rain held off until 8pm).
Here we are working on our creations during the annual pumpkin carving fest (it's not really a fest, we just do it every year.) Dawson finished his pumpkin so now he's helping daddy.
Dawson fell asleep on the couch today...this is one of the reasons I never get to take a nap. He and Jamie will never take naps at the same time...no matter how hard I try to time it. If Jamie is sleeping Dawson doesn't want to, or if Dawson is sleeping Jamie is awake the entire time. For example I was waiting to put Dawson to bed until Jamie was sound asleep, but the little bugger fell asleep on the couch and Jamie was still wide awake! Again, no nap for me! Oh well.
Since Jamie's arrival, Dawson has come up with lots of ways to entertain himself. This is one of the normal activities...playing with his trains...the next picture is a not so normal activity, but it keeps him busy. That's all that matters.
Dawson thinks oral cleanliness is important even if you are only 20 months old, and you should brush your teeth any chance you have, even while sitting in a basket.
