Mama's takin us to the zoo tomorrow, zoo tomorrow, zoo tomorrow.

The kids were singing that song before bed last night, nonstop, in anticipation of going to the zoo with me & my friend Chris & her son Jack (who we haven't seen since he was a wee little baby!)


This is Jack. He's pretty cute.


Jamie is cute, but also pretty whiney. The only thing that shut her up was sugar. Cotton Candy was the ultimate goal today. Go figure, with the sugar problem. Sound like anyone else you know?

The Brightside of the Remodeling Chaos

The brightside of the remodeling stress is that the kids get to hang out at our super fun apartment pool, almost everyday this summer, and learn how to swim.

Here are some highlights from our up north vacation on Lake Mitchell. Too many pictures, as usual, but here are a few to get an idea of what we did all week. It was VERY hot, so there was a lot of time spent in the water this year!

Just the beginning of the fishing pictures. Just like last year, Dawson spend almost all of his time, other than the eating and slepping portion, fishing - with a net, with a pole, off the dock, on a boat, where-ever and however he could. He must have caught 100's of fish that week, including some really big pike and bass.

Jamie tried, but talking to the fish didn't cut it.

It was a pretty good week. Now back to normal. Only a few more weeks until school. Dawson can't wait!

Lake Mitchell 2010

The annual week up north, with Janet's family, was last week. More pictures to come, but for now here are some group shots of everyone....

This Week...

...was a busy week. Dawson went to day camp at church everyday, Jamie went to Safety Town classes every morning (and graduated...see below), we worked a lot, to prepare for being off on vacation next week...

also, to add to the chaos of 4 of us, plus a dog and cat living in an apartment right now - we watched another dog at our apartment for a week.

At the end of the week we made it downtown to one of the best summer concerts we have seen yet.


And....when we get back from vacation in a week, part of our house will look a lot different! (*see more on other blog.)

Safety Town

Jamie is now officially a Safety Town graduate. She knows all about crossing streets, stranger danger, traffic signs, electricity, fires, bus safety and more. I guess that makes her even more ready for big girl school in just a couple weeks!
