Holiday Weekend in Chicago

We spent the weekend before Christmas in Chicago.
Lots of walking, two museums, one aquarium, one zoo, shopping, food and fun.
Most of the photos taken were on our phones...here are a few of them:
Field Museum
That is Jamie way out in the grass, having a meltdown moment.
(Outside of Field Museum / Shedd Aquarium in Grant Park.)
The Lego store was one of the favorite destinations.
Jamie assessing her financial situation in the middle of the Lego store.
Hancock Building
Bundled up for walking around Michigan Ave.
Ed Debevic's
Museum of Science and Industry
Trees from every country in the Museum of Science and Industry.
Dawson searched all over until he found The Netherlands.
One of the kid's favorite things at the Museum of Science and Industry was an age simulator.
This is what it simulated Dawson, Jamie and I to look like at age 72.
Yikes.

What Can I Give Him?

In the bleak midwinter, frosty wind made moan,
earth stood hard as iron, water like a stone;
snow had fallen, snow on snow, snow on snow,
in the bleak midwinter, long ago.

Our God, heaven cannot hold him, nor earth sustain;
heaven and earth shall flee away when he comes to reign.
In the bleak midwinter a stable place sufficed
the Lord God Almighty, Jesus Christ.

Angels and archangels may have gathered there,
cherubim and seraphim thronged the air;
but his mother only, in her maiden bliss,
worshiped the beloved with a kiss.

What can I give him, poor as I am?
If I were a shepherd, I would bring a lamb;
if I were a Wise Man, I would do my part;
yet what I can I give him:  give my heart.
