It is May...
Which means that the short one is 18 months now!
Here are a few things going on with Dylan currently:
- LOTS of screeching. Not many words...but a lot of squealing and screeching. That thing about the 3rd child not needing to talk, in order to communicate, must be true. She gets what she wants without using recognizable words.
-The few words we do recognize are: "uh-oh" "this" and "ba" (ba could mean a number of things: ball, bathtub, bottle)
-She is still very petite, wearing 18 mos clothes (Jamie's old stuff.)
-She is still drinking a bottle of milk a few times a day. Don't judge. She likes it and she is the last baby...she can have what she wants.
-It seems that we have a bit of a picky eater on our hands. She doesn't eat much...cheese, yogurt, fruit and baby food squeeze pouches are in the usual rotation.
-She is loving the outdoors, now that we can finally get out of the house and enjoy the weather without bundling up.
-Cars driving or people walking by us will get an enthusiastic wave from her when ever we are outside.
-Dylan is not much of a TV watcher, and never sits still. So we are constantly on the run after this curious busy-body. She moves from one thing to another very quickly and gets into everything! (Jamie and Dylan definitely have something in common: high energy and the need to stay busy doing something at all times.)
-Both Dawson and Jamie are still a huge help with Dylan. They watch her a lot for us and she loves to follow them around and do what they are doing.
