Dawson - Braces off + A Field Trip

Dawson got his braces off in October.
He has completed phase one of draining our bank account.

Here are some before shots...

Botanical Gardens Field Trip

Last week Dawson's class went on a field trip to the U of M Matthaei Botanical Gardens and Nichols Arboretum
I went along to lead a group (these guys) and we had a great day!

Giant agave plant
Can't remember what kind of cactus this is, but thought it was neat.

School Christmas Parties and Field Trips

Jamie's creation from school

Last day of school before Holiday Break = Party!

This is Jamie's hot chocolate with bits of different candies and marshmallows and sprinkles.  Gross.
I feel bad for the teacher...the party was in the morning...I can only imagine how the sugar coma afternoon went!

I also went on Dawson's field trip to our local dinner theatre downtown.  They had a cute Christmas show and lunch for us.

Plus, a visit from Santa.

Kindergarten Field Trip - Cider Mill

Jamie's first kindergarten field trip was today. I went with the kids & their 5th grade buddies to our local Cider Mill (The oldest business in town. True Fact. That is what I learned on the trip.)

And just because it was such a gorgeous day...

Real Life Farm

Jamie's preschool class had a field trip today to a farm.
We did the same trip last year with her class and Dawson's class, but the weather was cold, rainy and very muddy. This year was the opposite! It was a beautiful day and Jamie had a blast - riding a horse, feeding and holding lots of animals, milking a cow, going on a hayride and more...
